In 2017, Netflix released its internationally acclaimed documentary feature film One of Us about three individuals who faced ostracism, anxiety and danger as they left their ultra-Orthodox communities. One of the central characters, Ari Hershkowitz, joins us from New York and will share his story. We'll show key scenes from the documentary and hear from Ari about the process of exposing his personal journey on camera, and the responses he has received.

Ari will be in conversation with Simon Lipschitz.

Note that the subject matter of this session may be distressing. Support will be available in the room if required. Tzedek can be contacted on 1300 893 335.
